Make your bridesmaids Sparkle! Get Hold of The Right Colour for Them and Your Wedding

Finding the right colour for your gown is a little bit easy, but finding the right colours to suit your bridesmaids can prove to be incredibly difficult, also the warm/cool skin tone system is useful for finding the right shades of colours, the seasonal skin tone system is also great for finding the right colour for a person.

Winter
'Winter' girls tend to be brunettes with blue undertones to their skin and deeply coloured eyes. Coloured women also tend to fall under the 'Winter' category.
Wear: sharp colours such as bright whites, black, navy blue, red and shocking pinks.
Avoid: Pastel shades and subdued tones such as beige, orange and gold.
Take a look at our top picks for 'winter' girls:

Spring
'Spring' girls have golden undertones to their skin but are much fairer than 'Autumn' girls. Typical features of 'Spring' girls are freckles, rosy cheeks and green/blue eyes.
Wear: Warm colours such as camel, peach, golden yellow or golden brown.
Avoid: dark, dull colours like charcoal

Summer
'summer' girls also have blue undertones to their skin, but unlike 'Winter' girls, they tend to have naturally blonde or light brown hair and pale eyes.
Wear: Soft pastel and neutral shades such as lavender, plum, rose-brown and soft blue.
Avoid: Strong, dark colours like black.

Autumn
'Autumn' girls have slight golden, or yellow, undertones to their skin. A lot of redheads or brunettes with golden brown eyes fall under this category.
Wear: Colours with golden undertones, such as camel, beige, orange, gold and dark brown.
Avoid: Colours with blue tones, such as navy.

Don’t worry if all of your bridesmaids don’t fit under the same category, you’ll still be able to find something to suit everyone. It’s easy to find colours that suit both 'Autumn' and 'Spring' girls (such as camel or gold), or a colour that suits both 'Winter' and 'Summer' girls.
If you have a mixture of all four skin types, then why not pick more than one colour and combine them together. Coloured details such as sashes or embellishments help keep a theme running throughout the dresses. If you want everyone to wear the same colour then consider emerald green, purple as these two colours suit almost all skin and hair tones.
